Before they calmed down, we asked an excited Rachel a couple of questions about their travel habits:Is there anything typical about your travels? We both hate holidays where you just lie on the beach for days on end and we prefer to go places where there is plenty to do and the opportunity to travel to multiple cities and countries at once.Do both of you like the same kind of destinations, or different?Eilidh tends to follow the snow as she is a snowboard instructor but I prefer a bit of sunshine. I love the Everywhere option on the Skyscanner app whenever I am trying to decide where to go and I have been to Sweden and Italy already this year. How do you feel about winning #JustPlaneFunny? We are so excited about this trip because Eilidh spent a season out in Jasper, Canada in 2011 training to be a snowboard instructor. We’d like to say a massive thanks to everyone who contributed making this competition so fun. But who won?… We are delighted to announce Rachel and Eilidh Walker from Stirling in Scotland as the lucky winners of our #JustPlaneFunny competition, picking up two return flights to Montreal and tickets to the JustforLaughs Festival.During the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Skyscanner took to the streets with two film crews, seeking out the funniest travel stories or jokes from festival punters and comedians in exchange for the chance to win return flights, plus tickets to the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, Canada. Rachel and Eilidh were just two of the many, many of you who participated. The videos produced on the streets were uploaded to Skyscanner’s YouTube channel while other entries were made via Facebook. Regular updates on Twitter and Facebook informed the public where they could spot the team. Finally, the Skyscanner panel picked the 10 finalists and opened the voting to the public. Over the course of one week an exciting neck-and-neck race developed, however, there could only be one winner.Watch the winning videolast_img
