first_imgQantas has launched the A380 ‘superjumbo’ on its flights to London from Melbourne.The inaugural service took off on Tuesday (January 19th), with the airline now using the A380 on four of its routes – two each from Melbourne and Sydney.Alan Joyce, Qantas’s chief executive officer, said customer feedback on its A380 services “remains extremely strong”.”Qantas operated its inaugural A380 flight to London from Sydney in January 2009 and this week we have made the A380 option available to our Victoria customers,” he commented.One or two A380 weekly flights to London are operated by Qantas from Melbourne via Singapore, with regular twice-weekly flights beginning on March 29th.
