Glasscock School of Continuing Studies at 6 p.m. Sept. 29 on the Rice campus in West Lot 4 near the stadium. Rice University President David Leebron and Mary McIntire, dean of the Glasscock School, will offer remarks at 6:30 p.m.The new building will help the school to increase its scope and grow its enrollment from 12,000 to 15,000 per year. The school offers personal and professional development programs for the Houston community and beyond.The three-story, 51,000-square-foot facility will include 24 classrooms, conference rooms, a language center, an auditorium and a commons area and terrace for events.The site unveiling is a kickoff for fundraising for the $24 million facility, which will be built to the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards. Construction will begin when the fundraising has been completed.last_img
